From perception to conscious-awareness

Individuation means becoming conscious-aware of our outer and inner world. Becoming conscious means knowing the nature of content that is presented to us in our field of awareness. Content from the senses -body sense included and content produced by the Unconscious. Reason–makes understanding and knowledge out of it.

[[ In development

All our knowledge has its origins in our perceptions. ”
– Leonardo da Vinci

There is nothing in the mind that wasn’t first in the senses -Thomas Aquinas…..except the mind itself…added by Leibniz

Immanuel Kant taught us about a priory – given structures our perception and reason depend on. Carl Jung brought us the psychoid archetypes-as the ego-realm invading contents that were never before in the senses and the conscious mind. These providing typical human species behaviors and enabling us to perceive the meaning of things and life.

(By which we must understand –not solely sensory perceptions-but body-sense as well-(feeling aspect of reason–and the archetypal structures that makes cognition -the right judgment and picture (meaning) possible and language of the soul –symbolic elements and language–that is adden to judgment and understanding

In modern psychology and the field of mysticism, awareness and consciousness are often confused. But the separation of the two as different properties comes clear, when one looks at the following statement: Am I aware that I am conscious –or am I conscious that I am aware ? We then see that consciousness is a knowing condition. We know that consciousness has awareness and objects within its field as object and is subject to already attained knowledge and our  faculty of reason

I am conscious I am aware= I experience consciousness (knowledge that I am aware); I am conscious aware + I know that I experience awareness of perception; it is awareness that effects you ; it is consciousness  you experience.

The fact that you can say, make the statement : I am aware, that I am aware–(that I experience awareness itself or-objects in the field of awareness ;- means that you have knowledge recognition of this–ergo consciousness stands oppose awareness-and has it as object..not the other way around. You may not know the nature of what it is that you are aware–and cannot yet with reason react to it–maybe instinctual knowledge reacts to it.

Do animals have conscious-awareness? Do they know they are aware, that they perceive percepts? If so by which means ? By means of innate natural living spirit, an instinctive knowledge, passed on through the generations-how? How come that their awareness is switched on when an object of interests –prey or predator or mating partner appears in their field of perception and become focus of their awareness? What makes them know what they are aware? Is there a subject within them-as is so clearly observable in humans- that knows and reacts to external ‘objective’ reality

Below we will explore more of the mysteries of awareness and consciousness.
